Terms and Conditions and Data Protection Notice for the "Ravensburger Advent Calendar" Contest

A. Terms and Conditions

By participating in the "Ravensburger Advent Calendar" contest, the participant accepts the following terms and conditions. 

1. The contest is organized by Ravensburger North America, Inc. (hereinafter "Ravensburger"). 

2. Eligible participants are natural persons from (United States). Participants must be of legal age or participate with the consent of their legal guardians. Employees of the Ravensburger group and their relatives are excluded from participation. Participation through third parties, such as contest agencies, is not permitted. Ravensburger reserves the right to exclude participants who violate these terms and conditions, gain an advantage through manipulation, and/or provide false personal information. This can also be done retrospectively. 

3. Participation is free of charge. Participation and chances of winning do not depend on the purchase of a game or other products. 

4. To participate in the contest, the participant must truthfully fill out and submit the participation form of the respective active Advent calendar door at https://www.ravensburger.us/en-US/start/advent-calendar

5. The contest begins on December 1, 2024, at 00:01 AM (EST) and ends on December 24, 2024, at 11:59 PM (EST).

6. Every day, vouchers for the Ravensburger online shop will be presented in the current calendar door, which will be raffled among all contest participants of the respective day. The exact number and description of the daily prizes will be communicated in the respective calendar door. 

7. The winner will be notified by Ravensburger via email to the address provided in the contest form. The voucher code will be sent to the winner by email. A cash payout of the prize is not possible. The winner loses the claim to the prize if the prize cannot be delivered to them by March 31, 2025, due to reasons within their responsibility after the prize notification by email. The participant or winner is responsible for the accuracy of their information. 

8. Ravensburger is only liable for damages caused by Ravensburger or Ravensburger's vicarious agents intentionally, through gross negligence, or by the violation of a significant contractual obligation. This does not apply to claims arising from product liability and/or due to injury to body, life, and/or health. 

9. Ravensburger reserves the right to interrupt or terminate the contest at any time for good cause. Such a good cause exists, in particular, if the proper conduct of the contest is impaired or hindered. Claims of the participants are excluded in this case. 

10. The right of appeal is excluded. 

B. Data Protection Notice

1. Data Processing by Ravensburger 

Among all participants who have filled out and submitted the Advent calendar participation form on ravensburger.de, we will select the winners by drawing lots. We will contact the winners via email to the address provided in the contest form and send the prize to the postal address specified in the form. These data are used exclusively for sending the prize and are not stored or processed beyond this. After the contest is concluded, your data processed by us will be deleted unless there are legal retention requirements. 

2. Identity of the Controller 

The data controller is Ravensburger AG, Otto-Maier-Straße 1, 88214 Ravensburg Germany. If you have any questions, comments, or criticism regarding data protection or if you wish to exercise your rights described below, please contact us at [email protected]. You can reach our Ravensburger Group data protection officer at [email protected] or at our aforementioned postal address with the addition "the Ravensburger Group data protection officer." When you contact us by email, the data you provide (your email address, possibly your name, and your phone number) will be stored by us to answer your questions. We will delete the data arising in this context after storage is no longer necessary or restrict the processing if there are statutory retention requirements. 

3. Your Rights 

You have the following rights regarding your personal data: 

  • Right to information, 
  • Right to correction or deletion, 
  • Right to restriction of processing, 
  • Right to object to processing, 
  • Right to data portability. 

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.
